I write to inform you about a 2012 Olympic Games engagement meeting coming up for the South West region.

More Than Gold are the official churches response to the games, (please visit www.morethangold.org.uk) and having stopped in Exeter on the first tour, the next regional meeting during the 'On your Marks' tour is in Bristol close by:

More Than Gold desire to have 'champions' who are church links in 5000 churches by the games and your church can get inspired to tap into the Olympic fever which will consume our communities next year. 

 

Please come to the meeting and invite others from your church; there will be information on community festivals, mission and the hosting of athlete families as the Kenyan team are based in Bristol and the Malaysian team in Bath. 84% of the population are expected to watch the opening ceremony - that could be 84% of your community and at the meeting ideas will be shared on how you can reach and impact them through the opening ceremony.
