Launch of Christian bookshop in the spiritual heart of Bristol‏

Following a successful launch in Bath, A Great Read Ltd has opened the Aslan Christian Bookshop in St Stephen’s in the City – right in the heart of Bristol!  Founded by Wiltshire’s established online Christian booksellers www.agreatread.co.uk; and rather like stepping into the wardrobe leading to Narnia – you will find more than you bargained for! The Aslan Christian bookshop is situated in this vibrant church with a lively café and an exciting ministry focussed on the interaction between faith and the arts. Look out for Aslan and his wardrobe in store!

If you want help in book selection, manager Richard Greatrex, (previously manager of the SPCK bookshop in Bristol and Bath’s Wesley Owen bookshop) is there to assist.  New and pre-loved Christian and theological books, Bibles, Children’s books, devotional and study notes, church supplies and Christian cards and gifts are all available from Aslan Christian Bookshop.

The Aslan Christian Bookshop team are very pleased to be part of the vital work of the church in providing a wide range of resources to share the rich diversity of the Christian faith.

The shop is currently open from 10.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday, with Saturday opening coming sometime in the autumn. You can contact the team immediately on The land line number is yet to become operational, in the meantime please call the A Great Read Ltd customer number 01373 823451 for more information or enquiries about orders. Further Aslan Christian Bookshops can be found in St Michael’s Church, Broad Street, Bath and St John’s Church, Keynsham.

All these new shops rely on volunteer helpers to keep them open and running. If you are interested in volunteering for a few hours a week to help these new ventures provide a much needed service to the local community then do please contact Richard at the Bristol shop, or on the above email address.

Richard and the team look forward to welcoming you!
