What is Fracking (Hydraulic Fracturing)?:  Wikipedia

There are varying opinions of the ecological, economical and sociological impacts of the hydraulic fracturing developments proposed all around the UK including near Bristol, Bath and Somerset. Here are some opportunities to investigate the issue.



Frack Free Somerset are pleased to announce the amazing array of community action taking place across the county.

PUBLIC MEETINGS


These meetings are an opportunity to hear a presentation about fracking and other unconventional gas developments,
the science, bigger picture and the impacts experienced by communities in North America and Australia. It is your
chance to ask questions and understand the threats to your community.

These evenings are an opportunity to watch Gasland (link to trailer) a film showing the impacts of fracking on communities
in the United States. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and talk to members of Frack Free Somerset
