Pray for Schools Fortnight

Praying for our schools is a great way to ask God to be at work in the place where our children spend a lot of their time!

The vision of Pray for Schools (www.prayforschools.org) is to see every school become a prayed-for school. It doesn’t matter whether it is groups, individuals or churches who are praying.

Pray for Schools fortnight 5- 19 May 2013

The annual ‘Pray for Schools’ fortnight in May is one way to get involved by inviting others to pray with you for one or more schools in your area. The vision of the fortnight is to bring together people from local churches and others involved in education – parents, students, teachers, governors, staff and volunteers – to pray strategically for schools in their area and those involved in them.

This year’s fortnight runs from 5 – 19 May 2013, with the theme ‘The Servant King’. The website says the following: As we gather to pray for our schools, let’s think about our Lord Jesus Christ, who deeply cared for children and welcomed them into His presence. He is the King of Kings and yet we see Him washing His disciples’ feet. This year’s theme looks at how Worship, Prayer and Action can impact our schools as we come together.
