Ploughing the Fields!

The new year has started WELL! On her first day back after an extended Christmas break in New Zealand, our lead networker Ros gathered Christian Professional Group leaders together in London for a very productive meeting. This month, we’ve visited several more Christian Workplace Groups (CWGs) in London councils, re-connected with more groups across the country, and are really moving out in networking within the City of London. Doors are opening for us to move forward with groups in the railway industry and also in education and health. Exciting things are happening in the workplaces of the nation!
twuk feb15 1Developing a Case for Formal Recognition of a Christian Workplace Group A CWG can be more effective in influencing its workplace for God by being part of the organisation as a formally endorsed staff network. This enables groups to work together with management to bring godly values to the heart of their organisation, it allows greater freedoms, confers legitimacy, and lets Christians know it’s ‘all right’ to be a Christian in that organisation. If this could be the next step for your group, read our on-line guide to developing a business case to support recognition, just published, and get in touch – we’d love to help you.
twuk feb15 2Sharethemiracle  It’s great for groups to put on events from time to time to raise the profile of Christianity, and of the group itself. Easter is an excellent occasion for explaining the real message of Christianity. We are happy to endorse Sharethemiracle as a great way of marking Easter in the workplace!  Sharethemiracle can help you to build community and reach your colleagues – in doing an act of kindness, by inviting them to an Easter event, at the same time giving them a free Easter egg! Thousands were involved last year, including several CWGs, whose attendances at Easter events were boosted by this initiative. Could you sharethemiracle this year?
twuk feb15 3 Do you work in the London area? Why not go along to our next TWUK event explaining activities that groups can do to be light in the workplace? twuk feb15 6 A lone Christian? Not all of us work physically alongside others at a workplace. God is still interested in you and your work.
twuk feb15 4 Are you a twitter user? Help us to make workplace Christianity known by following us on twitter, picking up hot news, and sharing with your friends twuk feb15 7 Do you have an opportunity to show our new video? Use this to explain the vision of Christians transforming their workplaces
twuk feb15 5 Make sure your group is on our database, and help to make the database a comprehensive tool for linking Christians to their nearest CWG twuk feb15 8 Are you a Wharfite? Be sure to visit the Canary Wharf Festival of Thought, and let's all pray for a great response to the gospel messages
Be blessed as you work!
