HOTS Bath News and Testimonies

The Vision: to promote Christian healing as a daily life style for every believer, through demonstration, training and equipping.

The HOTS Bath Teams have been out in full strength through the month of July, every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 11am to 1pm in Abbey Square, bringing God’s love and healing power to many residents and visitors who might not otherwise have encountered him. HOTS Bath has also been busy training people, whilst the HOTS Squads have been in great demand…

Healing on the Streets

Out of the 50 testimonies recorded in June, and may more encounters that were not, here is a small selection:

"A member of the team who was praying discovered that she had been healed too! Mr R came with a lump on his right Achilles tendon and pain from that and his knee. Following prayer, the lump disappeared and so did the pain! The team member said she was aware while she was praying that she had the same problem! Afterwards she was delighted as was the whole 8-strong team to discover her lump had also gone! Thank you Lord!"

"A German family visiting the UK stopped for prayer because the man had pain from a serious back problem. The attention of many of those walking through the square plus other members of the team was caught by the sight of the man walking up and down grinning broadly as he tested out his healing and his wife in tears. All the pain had completely gone and his wife had experienced God's presence in a powerful way!

"They went away delighted but returned very quickly to ask if the team could pray for each child (must have had little discussion around the back of the Abbey). The little girl had a problem with her foot and the young boy had a painful finger. They took it in turns to sit on one of the chairs and it was very touching to see the tenderness that they were shown by the team members as they prayed. Both children were totally healed and the family full of joy. Passers by asked many questions about what was going on and great conversations resulted about our loving Father and what He has done for us through Jesus."

"Mr T came for prayer for schizophrenia and his left hand which had limited movement (he was a musician). The team prayed for full movement to be restored and for total healing of schizophrenia. Following prayer, he had much more movement in his hand which was visible to the team. He also said he had peace that he hadn't had for ages, that he knew something changed and he felt different."

"Mr S came to tell those who had prayed for him to be able to give up smoking that he had been able to abstain ever since."

Training Days – take the plunge!

Hear about it from a previous trainee:

"Having only recently become a Christian this year (at 64!!), I want to make a difference in God's world, so I enrolled on the 1 day course, admittedly, feeling a little apprehensive. That immediately dissipated among the 17 other delegates - once we had the opportunity to introduce ourselves in a completely peaceful and non-threatening environment. The morning session analysed why and how we can carry out God's healing and the more practical advice on the do's and don'ts in ministering.

"The two hours in the afternoon is, simply, awe inspiring. This bit is putting the theory into practice !! My friend volunteered to sit in the chair to heal a painful back. With complete amazement, we all witnessed his left leg "growing" half an inch and coming into full alignment with the other leg. That was followed by a full interaction of "volunteers" and "healers" where we witnessed the Holy Spirit moving powerfully. At the end, I was filled by the Holy Spirit, and, for the first time, I ended up on the floor. (It's a good job Steve knows how to catch a sprawling 6ft/14 stone ex rugby player !!)"

HOTS Squads

The HOTS Squads have been in great demand in recent weeks, attending events at Marshfield, Wellow and the Keynsham Music Festival (pictured).

In May, HOTS Bath were asked to provide training and to head up some of the teams that went out onto the streets from the Release 2010 Conference in Bristol, where the main speaker was Bill Johnson from Bethel Church, Redding, Calif.

Over 100 people signed up and there were amazing scenes of people on the City Centre amongst the fountains being prayed for and demonstrations of healing as a result!
