ministry of music

Welcome to Ministry of Music’s Summer update.  We’ve already had a great start to the Summer with 3 groups taking part in a schools mission, which saw many young people respond and request prayer at the end of week concerts! Last weekend we had 7 artists performing at events from southern England to northern Scotland.  Many more artists are performing at other Summer events ranging from Soul Survivor to church community fun-days. But it’s still not too late to book a singer or a band for any Summer events you are putting on.  Please get in touch if we can help you out.

Chip Kendall

ministry of music2We are really pleased to announce that former thebandwithnoname front-man Chip Kendall is now working with Ministry of Music.  After 10 years of touring the world, performing and speaking with thebandwithnoname, Chip has gone solo.  Chip can be booked with his full band, with DJ Galactus Jack or as a speaker.  Chip also offers 'Test of FAITH: Live!' a new secondary schools package combining faith, music and science.

Ministry of Music also welcomes….. Fields of Ypres - singer/songwriter Graham Phillips music has been played on BBC radio where one of his tracks was chosen by Tom Robinson as one of his favourite songs of 2010.  Awaken - consisting of 8 people, including two drum kits, cello, violin and guitars are less of a band and more of a team of musicians who wish to worship God and lead others into an encounter with Him.  For full bios, pics, music/video samples go to www.ministryofmusic.co.uk

Schools Work

Using Christian artists in schools can be a great outreach opportunity and an area which Ministry of Music is keen to support.  A typical week can include extended assemblies, music and dance workshops, RE lessons, lunch-time concerts, christian union meetings and end of week concerts. Artists with experience in schools work include Release dance crew, NGM band, Brought Into Being, and Chip Kendall.  Please contact us for more details.

Sunday Night Live

ministry of music3Ministry of Music artists are supporting Sunday Night Live events in coffee bars all across the UK.  Offering a great opportunity to invite friends along for a coffee and an evening of live music with a twist of faith.  If you put on events in your local coffee bar please get in touch as we have got some great artists ideal for these type of events.

Autumn Tour

Following on from our successful Spring Tour featuring Empire Nation and Brought Into Being we are in the process of putting together a tour for October-November 2011.  If this is something which might be of interest to you please send us an email and we will contact you as soon as we have more details.

Feedback from the Spring Tour included.... a brilliant night was had by all… Ministry of Music were great to work with from start to finish... the bands were awesome... it was the best youth music event in this area... thanks for coordinating everything to make the event a massive success... the bands oozed quality... praying God continues to bless this invaluable ministry.
