The Bristol Reconciliation Reredos at Saint Stephen's

saint stephens

The Bristol Reconciliation Reredos (pictured above) was unveiled in January 2011, a powerful contemporary artwork within the restored Victorian altarpiece at Saint Stephen's. As many of you will know, the iconic piece, created by artist Graeme Mortimer Evelyn, is a response to the legacy of slavery in Bristol. The struggle to recall, remember and reconcile, deal with past hurts, to heal and release energy for life.

A first in religious arts commissions the Reredos is a symbol of hope, and an important marker for the history and future of Bristol.

There is now an opportunity to buy collector’s limited edition framed prints, limited edition prints and posters.
