Paul Moore (a Bristol University trained lawyer) was a senior banker who warned his bank, HBOS, about its excessive risk-taking, and, he claims, was fired as a result.
His talk ‘The HBOS story and the lessons learned - putting faith and ethics into practice in the world today’ is this year's St Matthias Lecture 2011 on Monday 17 October. Admission is free and open to all. But you need to register on the website of the University of the West of England (UWE), via cliftondiocese.com or call 0117 328 2334.

The 17 October event runs from 7.30 pm to 10.00 pm in the Chapel Lecture Theatre at UWE's St Matthias Campus, Oldbury Court Road, Fishponds, BRISTOL BS16 2JP. The format will be: lecture, light refreshments, followed (for those who wish to stay) by further discussion.

The St Matthias Lecture is brought to you by Clifton Justice and Peace Commission, in collaboration with The Living Centre chaplaincy at UWE and Business West. Further information is available from UWE's Living Centre on 0117 328 2334.
