simon harperSimon Harper singer, songwriter & worship leader. Simon has had links with Ministry of Music right from its conception so it gives me great pleasure to welcome Simon. Simon's heart to lead people in worship has seen him lead worship at many churches and events across the UK. Simon is also part of the UK strategy team for Worship Central.

 

Seeker are a very experienced soul pop duo. Their music is a blend of soul, pop and jazz and they play a combination of their own songs, mainstream covers and covers of re-vamped worship songs in a more soulful style. Sound & Lighting Ministry of Music is now working with quite a few Christian sound and lighting companies, based at different locations across the UK, and can offer very competitive rates.  Some of the Artists we work with can also provide their own sound and lighting systems helping to further keep costs down.

chip kendalChip Kendall: Holy Freaks

Chip has just released his debut full-length solo album ‘Holy Freaks’ which sees him returning to some of the rock/dance sounds that made thebandwithnoname so popular with crowds all around the world. Chip is keen to make his music as accessible as possible so to help achieve this you can book Chip for a weekday event for a special price of £250 + travel.  Chip can provide a very varied evening including performing his new songs, giving a talk, providing interactive fun, chatting about his books/CDs or having a Q&A session.

 
Royal Foundlings: Sep29th

Scottish rock band Royal Foundlings, who recently supported Leeland at the O2 ABC Glasgow, are performing in England (Stoke-on–Trent) at the end of September and have a date available on Saturday 29th.  If you would like to book them for this date please get in touch ASAP for more info.

 

Vivienne Neville & Liz Clarke: Sep 21st – Oct 4th

Vivienne Neville is joining up with Liz Clarke, who has just completed her contract with the ‘Celtic Dream Show’, for a mini tour between Sept 21st and Oct 4th.  These two great Celtic singers will be offering a 60 – 90 min concert, consisting of a programme of their own material, plus a selection of traditional Irish Celtic Music/Songs. Costs £300 + travel.

 

Empire Nation: Closer, Clearer, Brighter Tour

Following the release of their new album Closer, rated 5/5 by Louder Than The Music, Empire Nation are embarking on a year long tour starting September 2012.  Join the band on a journey through word and music.  The tour is all about getting 'Closer' with God; seeing things 'Clearer', to make the world a 'Brighter' place. Costs £350 and includes travel (up to 400 miles return).

 
Chaos Curb: 'True Worship Transforms’ Tour

Following on from the release of their debut album Closer, rated 10/10 by Cross Rhythms, Chaos Curb are embarking on their first tour starting September 2012.  The tour will feature tracks from the new album and also includes a speaker.  Costs £600 + travel.

 
Mariette Davina: UK Tour 2012

Dubbed as the ‘Classical Kate Bush’, Mariette’s tour is already underway where she is being accompanied with a band of piano, classical guitar doubling on saxophone and flute.  The concerts will prove to be an eclectic mix of original and contemporary classical, jazz and worship. As these events will be ticketed there will be no booking fee payable by event organisers.  Further details available on request.

 

SCHOOLS WORK

 

Using Christian artists in schools can be a great outreach opportunity and an area which Ministry of Music is keen to support.  Anything from a day to a week in schools is possible and can include assemblies, lessons, workshops, lunch-time concerts, CU meetings and evening events.  Artists with experience in schools work include…….

Release Dance Crew - can include dance workshops in secondary schools or sessions for primary/middle schools based around singing, movement & communication.

Chip Kendall – 'Test of Faith: LIVE!' a schools package which combines faith, music and science. Each lesson is jam packed with great music, interactive experiments, DVD clips with famous scientists and a real life scientist to answer tough questions.

DJ Galactus Jack – An award winning DJ/Producer who is also an accomplished speaker/evangelist, lessons can be included on just about any topic or subject!

Bean Baker – An experienced schools worker who can take lessons and also run music workshops with classes of all ages, bands or individual musicians.

Royal Foundlings – a great rock band who can undertake schools work in Scotland.

The Steels - a very experienced band at working in schools including RE & Music lessons and concerts.
