One25 - CHRISTMAS 2012 SUPPORTERS' NEWS
Christmas is a time of good news, giving and togetherness. I love this season: carols, clove-spiked oranges and my family’s age-old Christmas day rituals! However, I’m reminded daily of all those who won’t share anything like this experience. As our night van circles the icy streets this month, we meet women who are far from their families, who have no home this winter, who are frightened and can’t see a way out. We are so privileged to be in a position to change that: to give many the warmth, family and light ahead that they deserve. Read on to hear Carla, Lily and Kay’s inspiring stories of change: just three of the 37 women who left the streets behind them this year! There are still many more women that will be out on the streets tonight, needing our support so please consider what you could do today to make a difference to their lives.
With love, Josie
PLEASE DONATE
Last year, one courageous woman escaped Bristol’s streets every ten days. But times have been tough, with fewer donations coming in to run our services and reduced reserves following the closure of Naomi House. While we strive to close this gap through events like 'Give it up' and a Big Lottery Fund grant, we still need your help. Please give what you can to make One25 stronger and save more lives.
Donations can be made online via www.one25.org.uk or by sending a cheque or standing order instruction to The Grosvenor Centre, 138a Grosvenor Road, Bristol BS2 8YA. Thank you.
