Together for Bristol

2013 is going to be an exciting year in Bristol – and you can find out how to get involved by coming to the CTGB FORUM on the 5th March!

The Forum will take place on Tuesday 5th March at the Salvation Army Centre, Hassall Drive, Bristol BS5 0AN, beginning with refreshments at 6.00 p.m. We will share food and fellowship together, tell you about the work of CTGB and about two important city-wide gatherings and how you can engage with them.

The two “Together for Bristol” gatherings will encourage us to work together to impact every aspect of life in the Bristol area. Churches Together in Greater Bristol is working with Arise!, the Evangelical Alliance and other denominations, networks and projects to bring together thousands of people – outdoors in May and indoors later in the year. At the Forum we will ask for your ideas and suggestions as to how you can be involved.

The first event will be at Castle Park on 19th May, 2pm to 6pm, and will follow on from the first Arise Bristol! event in 2012, when nearly 6,000 Christians came together. It will be a celebration, rather than a prayer event, with worship and stories. There will also be stalls and activities to engage with the general public, which will represent the eight key ‘spheres of society’ ranging across arts and media, business and workplace, education and young people, family, politics and social action, sport, and health.

The second event later in the year will be indoors with an opportunity to explore more deeply, with seminars, exhibition stands and a service. It will be a development of the Spectrum events held over the last couple of years at Bristol Cathedral. It too will reflect the eight key ‘spheres of society’.

Both gatherings will bring together people from across the whole Christian community: come to the Forum on 5th March and find out how you can be involved!
