Scripture, Theology and Culture course

“It is so lovely to have been able to be part of this year’s Mullers course - I have loved the variety of topics covered. It’s been a safe place to explore new ideas and thinking and to wrestle with tricky subjects, and I am now better equipped to understand the Bible and to see what God is saying.” (Julia)

If you’d like to explore, wrestle and be equipped, then why not consider applying?

Do you have leaders and teachers you are looking to invest in? Are there members of your congregation who would love to explore Scripture more deeply? Applications are open for Müllers free Scripture, Theology and Culture course starting in September. The course meets Tuesdays during term-time. We are also piloting a Digital version for those who wish to study in their own time. Visit our website for more information, or email Dr Philip Thomas on .

Müllers has been involved in theological education for over 25 years, through its Practical Theology Course. This has been newly updated and revised and renamed the Scripture, Theology and Culture course. The course remains the same at its core but it has been brought up to date with contemporary topics and to address society’s changing questions. Throughout the course, students will Encounter Jesus, Examine the Bible, Explore Theology, Evaluate Presuppositions and Engage with Culture, and it is our prayer that they will be enabled to cultivate deep theological roots, and thereby develop more fruitful lives.

The course runs on Tuesdays, from 9.15-4pm, from September until June. We try to maintain an academic rigour while being interactive and participative in teaching style. There is also the opportunity to receive an accreditation certificate in Scripture, Theology and Culture at either Level 3 or Level 4. The course is free, and open to all, regardless of their prior educational achievement. For the 2022-2023 course, we hope to meet in person at Loft House all day for live, in-person teaching. For further details, please contact Philip Thomas ().
