Young Leaders Tea Party

In the last week of July eight of our Young Leaders held a tea party for our local community at the Park. We had confirmation from reception that 40 of the over 50s and had accepted their invitation to join us for an english tea party with cream tea, cakes and biscuits. The cakes produced for this were amazing. Young Leaders, parents and coaches stepped up to provide a tea that Mary Berry would have proud of. Among our guests were local church representatives, staff at the Park and some of the many friends of the Park. Sadly, due to the hot weather many of our guests stayed home. We had an enjoyable afternoon and it was such a pleasure and a joy to be working alongside our Young Leaders. They stepped up and delivered a great afternoon that they should be proud of. We can't wait to see what they plan next.

Get Sported Summer Camp

64 children joined us to have a great sporty week and learn about God's Great Game Plan. It was such a privilege to see the children, young leader and workers alike respond to the story of Moses. During the week 14 children gave their lives to Jesus and for the first time children were asking for bibles to take away with them on the first day of camp. Counsellors and coaches handed out 21 bibles over the 4 days. We praise God for the connections we have in the local schools, children charities and the local churches and for favour sending children to us. The highlight was seeing children responding to the Moses' story and realising that God has a purpose for them. We had some great feedback from parents and school liaison officers and a highlight was having 5 sponsored children booked on for a couple days request that they stay the whole course.

PRAYER SUPPORT:

* Please pray for our current 10 Young Leaders as they start a new academic year with us. Please pray that would encounter God in a surprisingly new way this year. We are praying that we find ways to help them continue with their YSLD program and faithfully £250 is secured for them to attend the year where money is a barrier for joining.
* Please pray for the 64 children who joined us over the summer. Please pray that God will come into these children's lives and help fulfil their purpose in Him. Please help them to be selective in that process of choices and decisions and that they hold on to the good news heard at camp as they start school.
* Pray that we continue to have favour with our local churches and communities. Pray that our vision night is well attended. That we capture the imaginations and inspire leaders to run local sporting events. We thank God for the nurturing of the relationships we currently have and the generous support we receive in prayer, time given and financially.
