Bristol Hospitality Network urgently needs your support!
Bristol will be marking international World Refugee Day (20 June) with a celebratory programme of arts and educational events this year. Bristol Refugee Week Festival will run from 24 May – 26 June, promoting a better understanding of why people seek sanctuary, and encouraging receiving communities to continue to welcome new arrivals.
The festival will include the popular annual event 'Celebrating Sanctuary' in Queen Square on 12 June, and a refugee music showcase at St Georges on 20 June. For a full list of events please visit Bristol Refugee Week facebook page:
One of the participating organisations, Bristol Hospitality Network (BHN), is a registered charity that supports destitute asylum seekers in our city by providing accommodation at its communal house and with host families, as well as running a welcome centre.
In order to keep providing much-needed advocacy support to destitute asylum seekers going through their application process, BHN urgently needs more financial support from regular donors.
“BHN has given me a safe place to live, food and a chance to have a solicitor for my case. I would like to thank them for helping me to find a new life.” (K, a BHN hostee.)
To become a regular BHN donor, or to make a one-off donation, please visit the BHN website: bristolhospitalitynetwork.wordpress.com/donate/
