From the general director

Dear friends,
If you're anything like me, you're always looking for ways to encourage and support your congregation in sharing their faith.
That's why I'm so delighted to introduce you to greatcommission.co.uk – a new website hub to inspire and equip you and your church to be talking about Jesus.
One way we like to describe the Great Commission website is a table on which we've brought together a range of stories, reflections and resources in one place, drawn from across the diversity of the UK Church. All with the aim of helping you to easily find the tools you need to reach out, and to encourage you as you think, dream, pray and plan about what evangelism could look like in your place.

I'm especially excited about our weekly good news stories from people across the UK whose lives have been changed by Jesus, and from Christians who are talking about Jesus where they are.
These short video stories are available to share and freely download – ideal for sharing in services or small groups to encourage people that God is at work in our land today, and inspire them that they can join in.
Do follow us on Facebook and Twitter to keep up-to-date with the latest stories and content.

Greatcommission.co.uk is a place to watch stories of lives changed by Jesus throughout the UK and find stories of how others are sharing their faith.

You can also read reflections to encourage and inspire you as you think, dream, pray and plan about what evangelism could look like in your place.

Because prayer is a vital component of our mission, we’ve brought together stories and reflections to encourage you to pray. You’ll also find links to initiatives and networks to help you use prayer in your outreach, or connect with prayer networks across the UK.

The site also equips equips you to act – connecting you to the evangelism tools and resources already out there, helping you personally share your faith or plan outreach activities for a wide variety of contexts.

You can also create boards to collate stories, reflections and resources, and then share these boards with others – whether that’s friends, members of your PCC, or your youth team.

The Talking Jesus research showed us that 43 per cent of UK adults are not convinced that Jesus was even a real person – something we're determined to see change. At the Evangelical Alliance we're passionate about seeing the UK Church encouraged and empowered to share Jesus, that together we might see people throughout our land come into a life-transforming relationship with Jesus Christ.

So whether you’re talking about Jesus with others all the time, or just starting out, feeling confident or not at all, praying lots, or wanting encouragement to pray more, we hope that greatcomission.co.uk will be of real help to you and your church.

Yours with respect and appreciation,
