Can you show the Sixty-One

video as part of Prisons Week?

With funding from the Trusted Executive Charitable Foundation, Sixty-One has been able to produce a short video highlighting our work with people with criminal convictions.  In it, ex-prisoners talk about their lives and Sixty-One staff talk about the difference you can make. We hope that your church will show this video as part of your Prison Week (13-19 October) reflections, or at another time if this is not convienient. It's a great way of showing how giving a little time can make a huge difference.

Ways in which you can help our work include:
  • Train to become a MentorMe mentor
  • Set up a Hub at your church providing a mid-week community space for ex-prisoners
  • Ask your church to pack bags of Christmas gifts that we give to prisoners in three local prisons
  • Donate to our work - working with prisoners is never popular
  • Pray for what we do

Christmas Gift Project

We will be running the Christmas Gift project again this year and will need 12 churches to help us pack the gifts. Packing will take place on Advent Sunday, 1st December. What a fantastic way of starting Advent by reaching out to the poor and unloved in your own community. We will also need churches to help fund this. We give out 1,500 bags and they cost us around £5 per bag.
