St Luke’s Lunch, School Holiday Volunteer
Monday’s and Wednesday’s 25 July to 17 August, 11 to 2pm
We're a church in Barton Hill, who want to fill a hunger gap, increase social connections and provide a space for children in need to explore, create and have fun during the school holidays.
Our school holiday lunch club supports families to learn to prepare and cook food for the family. We're also big on providing fun, supporting creativity and encourage families to explore new things.
We’re looking for volunteers that can lead or support with:
-
Cooking – either in the kitchen cooking or helping families prepare their own food
-
Play – ensuring there’s a bunch of activities and play ideas available for families
-
Crafts – ensuring there’s a craft activity and craft materials for families to be creative
-
Supporting Parents – chatting with parents and being informed to signpost to further support where needed
-
Food Collection – collecting food from Fareshare
-
Food Shop – sorting out donated food to be shared with our families.
If you feel you can bring some fun, creativity and laughter to the team then would love to hear from you!
Hours: Shifts vary, around 4 hours a session but we are flexible. We run two sessions per week ONLY during the school holidays.
Location: St Luke’s Church, Church Street, BS5 9FB
