NPI
Exciting Announcement from The NPI!

With lockdown easing, we wanted to get in touch again with our supporters and share what we have been and are continuing to do to support families at this time. You’ll remember from Jane’s letter in April, that we had begun to develop our social media platforms, and we are pleased to say these have been going from strength to strength.  This is not least due to the arrival of Megan, our fantastic new Social Media Coordinator.  She is busy doing great work developing our Instagram, Twitter and Facebook pages, as well as creating our new You Tube channel (more on that later!)

As you may know, we have also been adding content to our website, so whether you are a church leader wanting advice on supporting families who are going through separation or divorce, or are a tired parent needing some lockdown encouragement, there will be something on there for you!  We are delighted that traffic to the website has increased significantly during this time – with approx. 2,500 visits to the website each week.

What’s Next?

As you may know, at the NPI we partner with, and promote, other great organisations in the family sphere, including Care for the Family and Parenting for Faith.  We have begun to regularly host meetings for the Heads of these different organisations to think, pray and talk strategically about how we can encourage one another and collaborate in ways which support and empower both families, and the church.

An exciting idea which has taken root from these discussions is our new YouTube channel (which has gone live today!  Please watch from right to left to see an introduction by our Chair of Trustees, Rev James Stevenson).  As part of our series, ‘Families: A Toolkit for Leaders’, we plan to post regular interviews on the channel, answering questions on family life that church leaders want answered!  From how to support vulnerable families, to how to run a Marriage course online, we want to help church leaders to be informed and encouraged as lockdown eases and congregations begin to reconnect in person.  We would love you to join us on this new venture, so please subscribe to watch what's already been added and to  be the first to hear about new videos coming online!

We would really appreciate your help spreading the word about the new channel to any church leaders in your network.  Thank you for your ongoing support of The NPI and our vision to empower families.
