Easter in a Box – The Movie!

Dear All

We really hope you’re well and managing in these tricky times.

We’re excited to introduce our new resource: Easter in a Box – The Movie!: http://bit.ly/3tPvoVh

It’s aimed at primary school children in Years 4 - 6 and designed with current social distancing measures in mind. It could be taken into school by a church volunteer/team if measures allow, or delivered to school by the church – church could then ‘join in’ via video link perhaps to answer questions at the end.

It provides a fun Religious Education and spiritual development opportunity.

Children are invited to imagine they are on a movie set watching the filming of ‘Easter – The Movie’. The movie is based on the biblical account of the last days of the life of Jesus. For each scene they:

  • look at a cast list and handle the props
  • hear and imagine the scene being filmed
  • discuss the emotions they felt
  • wonder and reflect on what they have learnt and can apply to their own lives, whatever their worldview.

We’d love to invite you to one of four training sessions we are hosting online. The session will introduce you to the resource and give opportunity to talk it through and ask questions. You can sign up here: http://bit.ly/3j6QHwu

We’d love to see you there, even if you don’t think you’ll manage to get this together for 2021 – it’s something to explore for future years.

Whether you're a church volunteer or a member of school staff, 'Easter in a Box - The Movie' is a great way to share the Easter story in a fresh and creative way.

We'd love you to join us! And feel free to spread the word in your churches/networks.

With best wishes,
Liz and Jane
