So Grateful

Ministry Focus
'Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim His greatness.
Let the whole world know what He has done.'

1 Chronicles 16:8

It's the first month of 2021, and so a rather belated 'Happy New Year' to you all! I'm sure we are all praying, hoping and believing for a 'better' year than 2020 - could any of us ever have imagined what would have happened last year, 12 months ago?

It may have been extremely tough due to the pandemic and it's ongoing 'wreckage,' but there is still so much to be grateful to God for isn't there? Psalm 103:2 says: 'Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits;' therefore, let's choose to be thankful to Him for all that He did do in our lives personally and in His kingdom work.

Below are some top line stats of what we saw Him do through our work and partnering last year as well as some more recent stories of His power and grace at the end of December and during January 2021.

If you prayed for us, gave to us or served with us - THANK YOU for allowing God to use you and may we see even more of His outpouring throughout 2021.

Stand Strong!

"Make Disciples"

                                      From Matthew 28:19a
Thankfully, Covid-19 restrictions have been less severe for many of our partner teams in different parts of Africa enabling Jesus' great commission to continue.

On Boxing Day and also on January 6th in Burundi, community soccer projects reached 4,253 people with 1,483 of them choosing to begin following Jesus. 70 precious souls also testified to receiving physical healing when prayed for.
Glory to God!

In Uganda, a former Muslim family of 5 heard the great news about Jesus through a community sports project, choosing to follow Him and are now being discipled as a part of a local church.

Back in another region of Burundi, youth related soccer outreaches have seen many young people impacted; one of the leaders, John says this:

"210 of the new believers are being discipled in different local churches in their area where they are living. Our own church is growing in number because of the fruit of sport ministry.  Many youth who were once into bad things when we met them on the soccer fields are now serving in the church. Before they were thieves & alcoholics, but today some of them are singers in the church and others are serving in different areas of the church."

Hallelujah!

Please pray for further upcoming outreach in Africa.
Could you help us to help them?

"Baptise Them"

                                      From Matthew 28:19b
As well as reaching and discipling many new people, it's been precious to see some of the new followers of Jesus get baptised.

On December 24th, 25 new believers reached through sports mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo were baptised in a local river.

Then on Christmas Day, 20 new followers of Jesus in Bujumbura, Burundi came up from the water anew!
Praise God for the lives He is touching and changing.
Could you reach people like this in your area?
