mahabba top

Mahabba means love in Arabic. Jesus said “love your neighbour”

Many of us across the city have Muslim neighbours or work colleagues. Some encounter Muslims at the University, at the school gate, in the work place, in local cafes or at the corner shop.

Mahabba Bristol is a network of Christians across churches in Bristol who love Muslim people, committed to expressing God’s love through offering welcome and friendship; and seeking to invite them to experience the love of God the Father through Jesus.

Twice a week we meet online to pray together. We offer opportunities for networking, getting involved in local initiatives and training. We are also able to mentor  mahabba logoindividual Christians or churches as they start engaging with Muslim people, and to support them in prayer as they do this. Churches are increasingly finding that  believers from a Muslim background are attending their services – we have resources and people who can advise you on this joyful challenge.

Mahabba is a National network and more information about how Christians can respond and engage with Muslim people in grace and truth can be found at  www.mahabbanetwork.com

Locally there is a good level of openness within the different Muslim communities and collectively we have many significant encounters and deep friendships that cross faith and cultural boundaries.

Please contact us to arrange a chat about your situation and to find out more information about our prayer times and training events at If you would like to receive our regular newsletter please fill in the form here.
