#45 News@TEN - It's been a busy season!

Welcome to our latest News@TEN! James has lots to share - news of trips, baptisms, outreach and thank yous. There's also news of events and our latest podcast. Be sure to watch the video to learn what has been happening over the past month. We hope you are blessed and encouraged. Thank you for all you do to make a difference to people in Eastern Europe and the Balkans.

Christmas Hope and Reconciliation in Struga

Like all of our partners, Emil and Vesna Puzderlievi who lead Struga Evangelical Church in North Macedonia are getting ready for Christmas and for sharing the real reason we celebrate. Here is what Vesna shared with me recently:

For a number of years I have been prayerfully dreaming about a special Christmas outreach in Struga, that will include singing Christmas carols in the town centre. We plan to make little Christmas song booklets to give out to people passing by if they choose to join us.

We will give out our Christmas gift bags that will contain calendars, New Testaments and a Christmas card. Also, we will have some stands decorated with lights and Christmas decorations where we will serve hot chocolate or Christmas tea and some Christmas cookies.

We will sing well-known Christmas songs like Silent Night, O Holy Night, O Come All Ye Faithful and The Little Drummer Boy and we will sing in three languages - Macedonian, Albanian and English. The reason is that Struga is a dual town so we want to bless both ethnic groups, and because everyone is familiar with the songs in English. Also, we are doing this event together with Albanian brothers and sisters, which is another powerful testimony of the reconciliation power of the Gospel. We will give out Christmas literature and New Testaments in Albanian as well.

The Christmas outreach is taking place on 23 December and 6 January (the second date is the Orthodox Christmas Day). Both dates are Saturdays which is a market day in Struga, so lots of people will be in the town centre. Vesna (pictured left with Emil) adds: If you could have our special Christmas outreach in your prayers that would be great! I'm getting excited just by sharing this with you. It is finally happening!
