We first opened in May 2023, transforming the former Broadmead M&S into a "Department Store with a Difference". The ambitious vision of Global Goals Centre, a sustainable education charity, and Artspace Lifespace, a charity focused on creative uses for challenging spaces, we have since welcomed nearly 950,000 through our doors. To mark this achievement we’re holding events on the 9th and 10th of May and you’re invited!

On Friday, May 9th, Sparks Bristol will celebrate the impact of the past two years and host a powerful panel discussion on the role of Indigenous knowledge and art in inspiring positive change.
‘There’s No Place Like Home’ is a British Council-funded project. This special event will feature international speakers, including Dr. Reihana, Senior Lecturer in Dance Studies at The University of Auckland, and Piripi Morunga (Ngāpuhi), a respected Rongoā practitioner with over 18 years of experience in health and community education.
The panel will also include Cleo Lake, a community engagement professional and researcher, as well as MoYah, a Mozambican-born Afro-fusion Hip Hop artist. The evening will conclude with a captivating performance from Indigenous Afrikan Storyteller and ‘Artivist’ Kabbo Hue Ferdinand.
9th May, 6 - 8pm. Entry is free but booking is required.
