Sun 1 Feb - Taize for Candlemas

When: Sunday 1st February, 5pm
Where: St. Francis Church, Nailsea, BS48 2LP

Dear friends,

As we begin a year, wherever there is struggle, may there be a way of coping with it, and a coming together to share mutual support. Sometimes it can be hard just to leave the house in this weather, but the warmth and light of sacred spaces and human contact is so needed. We have a hope that gathering and singing together, simple and meaningful chants, will be a spiritual practice that moves us and creates community.

The Taize community stands for ecumenical openness, drawing on different languages, bringing healing after war and conflicts, welcoming everyone and creating a spirituality with meditation and togetherness at its heart.

You are welcome to join us at one of these services.

"Hope lets us see that there is light, despite all of the darkness" (Desmond Tutu).

It is a few years since we held Taize services in St. Francis, you can help us to spread the word. We would love people to join us at the practice beforehand, if you would like to learn the chants more thoroughly - we will meet at 3pm at the church.
