Sportily Supporters News: The Sports Pages
Thank you for your prayers in support of the ministry of Sportily. Please join us in celebration and prayer at this time around the following points:
From the pitch/court/field
Sometimes, it's the little things that make us smile. Apprentice Cassie let us know that a child ate 7 pots of yoghurt at Innsworth Breakfast Club last week. We're not sure if we sh
ould be impressed or concerned!
It was the last Youth Alpha session in Hunts Grove and they had a great evening together. Tim shared:
"We ate pizza and chatted along with the last video. At the end of the 'what happens next' question, we gave a space for anyone who wants to take a next step of faith to invite Jesus into their life to raise their hand. One young person did!! Praise Jesus for this."
Apprentice Beth has been running a great Gymnastics Afterschool Club where she's been helping the children build their confidence. She shared:
"One child started the session crying because she couldn't do a handstand and didn't want the others to laugh at her, and ended the session by doing a handstand against the wall and saying, "I'm strong!" The children also wanted me to read them the Easter story from the Bible, so I read them some snippets and we all prayed together."
Please pray for
Please pray for our Easter holiday provision, asking that we're able to support and provide for children and families who need it most, creating spaces where they feel cared for, included, and able to enjoy this two week break.
In case you missed it...
In our latest blog post, Abi shares her reflections on why Easter is such a powerful season for renewal, and how it can shape both our faith and our wellbeing.
