Online Prayer for Emanuel Hospice

Monday 21st September 2026 19:00-20:00 BST

Join our September online prayer meeting and meet Dr Beni Paul. He is one of the amazing doctors and pioneering team members at Emanuel Hospice, a long-time TEN partner. Dr Beni is an inspirational character who will share an update on Emanuel Hospice's amazing work to care for cancer patients in western Romania. Here is Dr Beni in his own words:

My name is Beniamin Paul, a servant of Christ, husband of Cristina and father of our son Emanuel! Also member in Emanuel Baptist Church, Oradea, singing in the choir since 2011. On 7th September I joined as a doctor in Emanuel Hospice team and for 15 years I am serving those patients that are dying and I am so blessed to be beside these patients that are so marginalised! The beauty in this ministry, beside such a wonderful team is that we can take care not just for the medical needs but for the soul as well! I hope that one day I will hear these words from my Saviour, "Well done, my good servant!" Thank you so much for letting me be part of this prayer meeting to share some of the wonderful experiences that God is letting us pass through!

Mihai Rotariu (pictured left) will also be there to tell us why he is taking on the challenge of running the Sofia Half Marathon with other TEN runners. Rising to New Life in the Balkans

This month, we have been deeply encouraged by hearing news of baptisms taking place across the Balkans. Here are some stories to celebrate:

Jovica Bacvanski of Christ Gospel Church, Novi Sad in Serbia was delighted to baptise Jovana. Jovica wrote, 'Another baptism today. Jovana made important decision. Beautiful.' In Bar, Montenegro, Daniel Stracinski baptised two women in the sea. Another lady was due to be baptised with them but she was unwell, so please pray that she can be baptised soon!

A New Season for Rock of Ages

Our newest partner, Timi Cristian has now left his job at Amazon to take on full-time ministry at Rock of Ages prison ministry in Romania. Here is something that Timi shared with us:

This month, I turned thirty. I always ask my mentors what is it about this age? Every time they smile and they say, "That's maturity". Since it’s summer, the level of prison activity is low, because people from the educational department in the prisons are taking vacation leave. It’s hard in this part of summer to start a project because the staff levels in the prison is minimal. But we are using this time to prepare the next programmes.

I am now in talks with the educational and social department of the prison, in order to start four programmes with four inmates’ groups and also some projects in between. My plans are that I will start two programmes, A New Beginning, and Steps Towards Family Back Home.

The team at Rock of Ages would greatly value your prayers. Here's how you can pray for them over the coming months:   1. Pray for the volunteers who are developing our three-month prison programmes, and that God will provide the needed volunteers and finances for our Christmas projects. 2. Pray for the work at Poatra Alba prison and for Timi as he develops the educational programmes there. Timi hopes to teach the lessons with a practical element that takes on a Biblical perspective.  3. Pray that we will be able to have meetings with the families of the inmates who came to our Family Reunion project. 4. Pray for safe travels to our teams and encouragement, especially for our coordinators. 5. Pray for a good recovery for Ronela Cristian (Timi's mother) who is expected to have surgery soon.
